Karen Ditsch grew up on a farm in rural Nebraska.
She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Nebraska Lincoln in December of 1991. She was one of a few students in the 3/3 program, which allowed her to spend her senior undergraduate year in law school, graduating from the University of Nebraska College of Law in December of 1992.
Karen has since become a member of the bar in Texas, Colorado and Nebraska. She is currently practicing only in Texas.
Karen was the first female elected County Attorney in Box Butte County Nebraska in 1999, serving until 2004.
She moved back to Texas where she worked as a drug task force attorney, handling drug cases from a Regional Controlled Substances Apprehension Unit as an Assistant District Attorney in Lamar, Red River and Fannin Counties.
She worked as a product specialist, focusing on a legal research product for Wolters Kluwer, a leading legal publisher.
Karen has practiced on her own and in a small law firm both in Texas and Nebraska.
Karen is trained in mediation and arbitration.
Karen lives in Plano with her husband and cat.
